MUSLIMS IN BROOKLYN
For well over a century, Muslims have lived, worked, and prayed in Brooklyn, making it a major center of Muslim life for New York City and the nation. The Center for Brooklyn History’s “Muslims in Brooklyn” is an oral history and public arts project which amplifies the stories of Brooklyn’s diverse Muslim communities.
The photographs were featured in the museum exhibition and its award-winning website and curriculum, developed for students in grades 2 to 12.
